Grade: Reserve, first spring harvest
Production: Eco-responsible product from healthy and natural cultivation without chemicals, without the use of pesticides and produced fairly according to international "Rainforest Alliance" and "Ethical Tea Partnership" standards.
(Kagoshima, Japan) This early harvest tea comes from the island of Tanegashima, located in southern Japan; it is one of the first Japanese teas produced each year. From the first spring harvest, this reserve grade Shincha Chumushi is made from tea leaves from the Nanmei cultivar, meaning "southern tea."
On the palate, it offers a pleasant and silky liquor with vegetal, umami notes, a hint of astringency reminiscent of grapefruit, floral notes reminiscent of cherry blossom among others, and leaves a fresh and sweet finish. A grand cru!
