Origin: Tanegashima, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan
Grade: Reserve, 1st spring harvest
Cultivar: Asanoka
This famous reserve-grade green tea from Tanegashima Island was made from the Asanoka cultivar, known for its beautiful umami intensity. It comes from the first spring harvest of the best reserve tea plants in the garden.
Its yellow-green liquor, typical of a Chumushi style tea, offers a richer, milkier, and creamier texture, with notes of umami, fresh vegetables reminiscent of rapini, almond, and a slightly floral finish. A great, fresh vintage!
