(Aichi, Japan) This competition-grade Kabusecha (Nihoncha Awards 2023 competition - awaiting final voting results), handcrafted from the Yabukita cultivar in limited quantities, comes from the first spring harvest. It was personally made by the grand master of the garden; even the tea bushes were carefully and personally cultivated by him on one of the best mountain slopes in the region.
On the palate, it offers notes of umami, floral, a hint of fresh herbs with a sweet and pleasant finish reminiscent of the peak of spring. A grand cru!
