The "Hon Dentou" designation of this Gyokuro means that it is made traditionally and artisanally with the utmost care to produce the best tea. The leaves, which have been fermented directly from the tree via a unique shading technique, and from which only the tenderest buds are hand-picked, are very finely rolled into needle shapes.
This exceptional tea with controlled appellation from Yame is considered the best green tea in Japan.
