The "Hon Dentou" designation for this Gyokuro means that it is made in a traditional and artisanal way with the utmost care to produce the best tea. The leaves, which have been fermented directly from the tree using a unique shading technique, and from which only the tenderest buds are hand-picked, are very finely rolled into needle shapes.
(Yame, Japan) From our Yame garden, this exceptional tea, considered the best in Japan, comes from a controlled appellation. Made from the Okuyutaka cultivar, this tea is crafted from leaves that have been fermented directly from the tree following a unique shading technique. Picked one by one by hand, only the tenderest buds are selected, then processed in a traditional manner.
On the palate, it is unctuous, with notes of umami, cream, cooked fava bean, and ripe fruit. It leaves a sweet and fresh sensation on the finish. A grand cru!Preparation: 5g=250ml / 60C° / 1-2min / 3 infusions
