Our Yame tea garden has been the recipient of numerous global awards for the excellence of its products for years, and is ISO 22000 and JAS certified.
The "Hon Dentou" designation of this Gyokuro means that it is made in a traditional and artisanal way with the greatest care in order to produce the best tea. The leaves, which have been fermented directly from the tree via a unique shading technique, and of which only the most tender buds are hand-picked, are very finely rolled into needle shapes.
(Yame, Japan) From our Yame garden, this exceptional Gyokuro tea with controlled appellation comes from the very rare experimental cultivar Gokou. It has been artisanal produced in limited quantities of 12kg on the highest peaks of the mountains in the Yame region.
On the palate, it offers incomparable rich and gourmet notes of umami, cream, vanilla, cooked bean, ripe exotic fruits and a vegetal touch of asparagus. It leaves a sweet and fulfilling sensation on the finish. This grand cru is a memorable gourmet experience not to be missed!
