(Yame, Japan) This lightly oxidized green oolong from our Yame garden is handcrafted experimentally. Made from first flush spring buds, it was produced from the Yabukita cultivar.
When steeped, it opens with a fragrance of orchid, grapefruit, and pineapple, then evolves into notes of umami, vanilla, cane sugar, and a hint of spices reminiscent of nutmeg. It offers a beautiful balance of complex and gourmet notes with a creamy and sweet mouthfeel on the finish. A truly original grand cru!
