(Miyazaki, Japan) From the first spring harvest, this low-oxidation wulong tea comes from the Takachiho Gorge of the famous Gokase River, in the high mountains of Miyazaki Prefecture. It won 1st place at the Japan Tea Award in 2022.
When brewed, it offers a floral fragrance reminiscent of lilac, lily of the valley and orange blossom, with notes of spices such as nutmeg, and leaves a creamy umami sensation at the finish. A grand cru reminiscent of Chinese Dan Cong teas.
