(Chiran, Japan) From Kagoshima, this Asamushi-type Sencha tea, from the first spring harvest, is entirely handmade in the Hon Dentou style. A reserve grade, it is made from the new Kirari cultivar, renowned for producing excellent Gyoukuros.
It offers fresh notes of sweet corn, umami, fresh herbs and flowers with honeyed notes. In the finish, it leaves a beautiful sweet sensation in the mouth, reminiscent of a Shin Gyoukuro. A grand cru!
