FENG HUANG DAN CONG - (Guangdong, China) Originating from the legendary "Phoenix" mountains in Guangdong, this oolong is a classic among Gong Fu Cha tea enthusiasts. The large, whole leaves of this tea are hand-picked in early spring from century-old wild tea trees.
When steeped, its golden liquor offers notes of lilac and lotus flowers, a hint of spice reminiscent of caramelized ginger, nuts, and mineral notes. Well-balanced, this tea was originally a grand cru reserved only for cultivators.
