Wakoucha from Yame | Izumi [Reserve Grade]

$17.50

Origin: Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan

Grade: Reserve, 1st spring harvest

Cultivar: Izumi

Production: Eco-responsible product from healthy and natural farming, free of chemicals, without the use of pesticides, and produced ethically according to international "Rainforest Alliance" and "Ethical Tea Partnership" standards.

This red-black tea, called Wakoucha, of reserve grade, was produced artisanally by hand. From the first spring harvest of wild tea trees located on the peaks of the famous Yame region, it was made from the very rare Izumi cultivar.

When infused, its orangey liquor offers complex and rich notes of honey, woody fruits, and a floral bouquet reminiscent of lily of the valley. A great tea with a unique taste. It has a beautiful roundness and sweet sensation on the aftertaste. This tea compares without hesitation to the grand crus of the world - a must-try!
