This tea won the gold medal at the World Green Tea Award 2010. From a cultivar with golden buds found only in the Yame region, the name of this tea means "white tea" in Japanese; attributed by the whitish color of its leaves. Highly renowned, this tea, which has already won global awards, is of incomparable quality. However, it is a first-flush Sencha green tea variety whose leaves have been meticulously hand-processed.
When brewed, its greenish-yellow liquor is dense like a juice, full of theine and nutrients. Smooth on the palate and without astringency, it has rich notes of citrus and buttery Umami. A grand cru to try!
