(Miyazaki, Japan) From the first flush of spring, this red tea made from the rare Takachiho cultivar comes from the Takachiho Gorge of the famous Gokase River, in the high mountains of Miyazaki Prefecture. It was produced by the same producer who won 1st place at the Japan Tea Award 2022.
When infused, it offers a floral scent reminiscent of lily of the valley as well as fruity notes of apricots and grapes. It leaves a comforting and sweet molasses-like sensation in the finish. A grand cru!
