Shoryu Tenmoku Teapot - a premium Japanese kyusu teapot, handcrafted by Master Shoryu (Shoji Umehara) in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture. Renowned as the only artisan in Japan to master the application of the complex Tenmoku pattern to teapots, his creations are characterized by a dark, oil-spotted glaze, enhanced with golden lids and delicate floral patterns. Master Shoryu is also one of the 36 traditional Tokoname potters, registered and recognized by the Japanese government as a national treasure.
