Origin: Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, Japan
Grade: Reserve, 1st Spring Harvest
(Saga, Japan) This exceptionally high-quality tea from the first spring harvest was produced from the rare Miyamakaori cultivar, originating from the Ureshino region, the most renowned for this type of tea. Its leaves are cooked and roasted at high temperatures in a handcrafted wok using the ancient Chinese technique, the oldest method for green tea production. This results in a tea that is mild and refreshing, without astringency or herbaceous notes.
Its liquor offers light roasted notes reminiscent of toasted almond, umami, sweet corn, and a touch of citrus. A grand cru that evokes renowned Chinese teas.
