(Kagoshima, Japan) This reserve grade Sencha Fukamushi comes from Chiran, a region renowned for its green liquor teas and incomparable freshness. From the 1st spring harvest, it is made from the rare Asatsuyu cultivar. Asatsuyu is a cultivar intended for Sencha tea production, created in the 1950s; widely recognized for its taste reminiscent of Gyokuro tea.
It offers a thick liquor with notes of fresh vegetables, floral freshness, umami and a sweet finish reminiscent of melon. A grand cru!
Preparation: 5g=250ml / 70C° / 30sec / 3 infusions 100g
