This Pu-Erh Shou (ripe) tea cake is made from the first spring harvest buds, sourced from tea trees in Kunming, Xishuangbanna region, Yunnan province. This imperial grade tea was originally produced for the royalty of the region. Stored in our facilities in Hong Kong, it has matured to perfection.
Flavor profile: Smooth on the palate, it offers rich and gourmet notes of date, prune, camphor, menthol and a warm bouquet of spices - providing a beautiful "hui gan" energy. Very well balanced and comforting, its finish is round and sweet. A grand cru for collectors!
Recommended brewing techniques:
Rinse the leaves beforehand (quick 2-second infusion) with water at 95° C, then let the leaves rest for about 30 seconds before the first infusion.
