Sambucus nigra - Adoxaceae - Elderflower is a European classic, and Sambucus canadensis also grows very easily in our latitudes, producing a plethora of flowers and fruits. Elderflower has a very specific aroma and is very useful for nasal or circulatory congestion, and is an antiviral of choice to try at the beginning of a winter infection.

Preparation:
As a single herb: 1 teaspoon per cup of water, steep covered for 10 minutes. Up to 3 cups per day can be safely consumed.
