(Kagoshima, Japan) This famous "reserve" grade green tea from the Chiran region is made from the Tsuyuhikari cultivar. Made from the first harvest of spring and sourced from the best reserve tea plants in the garden, it was produced using traditional Hon Dentou methods.
It offers rich initial notes of vegetables reminiscent of a bouquet garni. Then, the intensity of its umami makes itself felt, providing a very creamy and sweet gourmet sensation. It leaves a ripe fruit sensation on the finish. A grand cru!
