(Yame, Japan) This famous Sencha tea of the Fukamushi type was awarded the silver prize at the World Tea Union Awards 2023. It comes from the first harvest of spring and is made from the very rare and prized Tsuyuhikari cultivar. Produced artisanally in limited quantities by the grand master of the renowned Yame garden, even the tea plants were carefully and personally cultivated by him on one of the best mountain slopes in the region.
Its rich liquor, an intense and opaque green, offers notes of umami and cream on the palate, evolving into notes of ripe fruit reminiscent of mango, and finishes with a sweet touch that leaves a fresh sensation in the mouth - a grand cru worthy of its merit award!
