This Shou (ripe) Pu-Erh is made from wild "Gushu" tea trees that were stored in Hong Kong for over 15 years before being brought back to our store.
Tasting Notes: Its brown liquor offers complex notes of date, prune, camphor, menthol, and licorice; balanced, soft, round, and velvety on the palate with a hint of ‘’hui gan’’. A grand cru.
Recommended Brewing Techniques:
5g for 250ml (1g per 50ml) / water at 95° C / 8 infusions guaranteed
Pre-rinse the leaves (quick 3-second infusion) with water at 95° C, then let the leaves rest for about 30 seconds before the 1st infusion.
Infusions:
1st infusion: 25 seconds
2-5 infusions: 20 seconds
6-8 infusions: 25 seconds
