TIE GUAN YIN – (Fujian, China) Originally from Fujian, this oolong is a classic among teas and is the ancestor of a large number of oolong teas, including those from Taiwan. Our TGY from the first spring harvest is a marvel.
Its beautiful thin and uniform leaves produce a rich, golden liquor leaning towards green due to a light oxidation of the leaves. The result is a savory, umami and fresh taste, with a very good length on the palate. Moreover, its intoxicating floral scent of orchid and lily of the valley is dreamy.
