Seasonal Product
This chai features classic spices with a festive twist and a fruity touch. It is caffeine-free. Very acidic, not suitable for lattes.
Instructions:
For optimal results, simmer for 15 minutes, then steep for 30-60 minutes. (Decoction)
1L of water for 1/4 cup of spices.
Uses
It will be delicious on its own, but you can try these creative ideas:
Spiced Cranberry Jelly
-Add the decoction to your homemade cranberry jelly or jam.
Spiced Mulled Wine
-Simmer in red wine with sugar to make a spiced mulled wine.
-1 bottle of table wine
-1/4 cup of sugar of your choice
-1/4 cup of "Christmas Chai" spices
Bring to a very gentle boil, then let steep for 30-40 minutes over very low heat.
Holiday Punch (With or without Alcohol):
-Prepare 1 L of Holiday Chai decoction
-Add 1 bottle of plain (or flavored!) sparkling water or 1 bottle of white sparkling wine or 3 cups of apple juice.
-Add sliced fruits: oranges, cherries, peaches, etc.
-Serve cold.

Apples, Hibiscus, Cinnamon, Orange, Rosehip, Lemongrass stems and roots, Ginger, Cardamom, Black and white pepper, Cloves, Nutmeg, Coriander, Star Anise.
